P2P VoIP Activity
This article on p2p VoIP has shaken up the PBX vendors. I can’t tell you anything more at the moment but scan the news wires on TMCnet early this week to see what I mean.
Eyeball Networks Shows Foresight
Andy and others have clued me in to the fact that Eyeball Networks has snatched up Sip veteran Eric Lagerway the man behind the ever-popular SipThat blog. This is pretty big news and Eric tells me that Eyeball Networks has some great SIP integration and he looks forward to beating the competition and “hitting this one out of the ball park!”
Sounds like Eric’s time off has served him well and a motivated and rested SIP guru is always something good to have on your team.
Cingular Outage
Cingular had an outage this past weekend in the tri-state area according to this article. Apparently many of Cingular’s employees have been focused on restoring service in areas affected by hurricane Katrina and perhaps this outage in the northeast caught the company off guard and short-staffed.
