I just hate the thumbwheel on Blackberrys and I am thrilled the company has seen its way to the future of technology where a trackball becomes the browsing “pointer” of choice. After all, browsing with a thumbwheel is perhaps the stupidest idea ever invented in tech – ranking right up there with Sony deciding not to support the MP3 format in their players and subsequently ceding the entire music player market to Apple.Wikipedia Dead Links

Russell Shaw raises an interesting point about a problem with Wikipedia being the fact that links expire. I know someone who words for a rival publisher and this company makes an encyclopedia as well. This person’s job is to scan for dead links and links that turn into porn sites. Apparently this is a bigger problem than most people realize. I suppose Wikipedia links will eventually be found to lead to porn sites as well. When this happens we will see scores of articles about the free encyclopedia’s credibility. Probably just a matter of time.
