Update on Flight Delay

September 12, 2007
Update on my flight. Here is the situation. We are at the Newburgh, NY airport, not in NJ like I previously thought. Air traffic control did not let us land immediately the first go around which is why we are on the runway still.

We are fueled up and just before take-off we were informed we have yet another 20 minute delay due to air traffic at JFK. At least I still have some battery left.

Ran Out of Fuel

September 12, 2007

I am on an American Airlines flight where we apparently ran out of fuel and had to land in NJ instead of NY. It seems the company planned their fuel exceptionally poorly for this flight and now the passengers who woke up very early will be home much later than expected.

Yes carrying just enough fuel is green. Landing, refueling and taking off again however is not.

Heading back for the Holidays

September 12, 2007

I am heading back to the east coat to spend Rosh Hashanah with the family. As I mentioned we changed the dates of ITEXPO so people could get back home with family by the evening.

Thanks again to all of you who made ITEXPO West 2007 a resounding success.

As luck would have it I left my laptop power cord somewhere yesterday. It is a silver iGo model in case you come across it. Unfortunately there seems to be no Brookstone in the airport so I can't even buy a new one.

This means I may be late in submitting my Publishers Outlook for the next issue of ITMAG. Sorry Zippy.

I may actually take it easy on the flight back. Thankfully I have 10+ magazines with me (this is why a huge laptop case with wheels is so helpful).

If you are headed back from the show please travel safe. If you are at the conferences, have a great day and thanks all for coming to the show.
