NBA on your Cell
November 2, 2007
Say you are in a meeting – like the one I am in now (shh! :) ), and you feel you are out of the basketball loop… What do you do? Well one option is to take out your cell phone and hide it under the table and tune to Verizon Wireless V CAST Mobile TV.There are more than 70 games you could be watching under the table, right now!
If there is a downside, it is that you can only access the service in 40 cities including some of the larger ones, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia.
The question worth asking of course is why Vegas… Every time I go to a Vegas hotel, there seem to be more flat screen TVs with basketball games than even Best Buy! I guess Vegas citizens don’t want to miss these important games when they are in the rest room. :)
Keating on Plagiarism

Tom Keating has some interesting thoughts on plagiarism – especially regarding an article of mine that was “borrowed” recently for another site. It is worth a read.
I am Gphone, You are Not
November 2, 2007
Tom Keating has an interesting blog post about the continuation of the gPhone saga. By the way, is it Gphone? gphone? or gPhone? I don’t know. For those of you who are interested in looking at what this phone may look like make sure to check his post. I have a few shots here as well. Oh, and by the way it seems China’s e28 is going to be providing the software and hardware. If the rumors are true of course.
I like the form factor of this device and it looks like something that will be easy to type on and read. My one concern? Will it fit in my pocket?.
iPhone as Invention?
November 2, 2007
Is Apple’s iPhone an invention? I wonder. I would have said it was an invention until I started reading Russell Shaw’s blog where he has the definition of invention spelled out.Russell says, “The iPhone strikes me as more applied technological craftsmanship than “unique intuition” or “genius.”
He is right I guess but then again when I compare an iPhone to the office phone on my desk it is like comparing an apple tree to a glass of orange juice.
