Just when you thought it was safe to buy a Palm device or some of their near eight-dollar stock, along comes a threat from Apple’s new (acting) CEO Tim Cook who tells others who rip off the company’s IP (intellectual property in this case) “look out.”

I did wonder about the Palm Pre when I read these statements as it uses a similar multi-touch interface to the iPhone and to be honest, once you have used it… It is really tough to not have it.

It seems Pre stands for the time at which Palm will receive the legal papers from Apple… Pre-product launch.
