If there is a more prestigious customer than the world’s largest investment house for a company like Saleforce.com, I am not aware of it. The recent announcement at a New York based media event that Merrill Lynch is now a Salesforce.com customer is earth shattering in my opinion. With this news, Salesforce.com has now legitimized their applications in the eyes of the Fortune class corporation. If Siebel thought it had its hands full before, this news will only make their life more difficult.
