ITEXPO East 2010 Hotel Rooms Exceed Estimates

Dear readers, as you likely know, ITEXPO and the numerous collocated events with this event have been generating more and more attendance at a time when many shows have seen traffic drop precipitously. What will ITEXPO in Miami look like January 20-22 in 2010?

Here is a reminder of what happened last year – thanks to you the attendance was up 15%.

Thanks once again to you, the good news is the 2010 show is about one month away and the show hotel room block at the Loews is already sold out at 106%. This does not mean the hotel is sold out, just that there are more rooms reserved than we planned for. This is a great sign and I suggest you book your hotel room at the Loews quickly as I expect it to sell out.

Some of the benefits of staying in the show hotel include networking with vendors, partners and customers and also being within walking distance of the convention center. The Loews is close enough to South Beach and numerous restaurants that you won’t need a car either. Sure, you can rent one but I would save the money unless you plan on entertaining, sightseeing after the show, etc.

We have negotiated a low hotel rate so be sure to mention ITEXPO when you register. Our show rate is $249 per night and as the block is already oversold, you should be sure to book quickly as the rate could increase. They tell us they typically charge $400/night at this time of year and a cursory search on Hotels.com yielded a $449/night rate.

January 4th 2010 is the official cutoff of this low rate but it is on a first come first serve basis so I wouldn’t wait.
