Worried abouve the Future of US Technology Markets

April 23, 2004

I recently wrote about Nortels outlook on the communications space and how they mentioned the US is falling behind in both technology and in the move towards VoIP. To further elaborate on my column titled Nortel Networks' Bright Future in Internet Telephony Magazine, there is a great article in the Wall Street Journal titled China Expands Phone Service Via The Internet (paid subscription required. There seems to be no easy way to link to the article. You need to do a search on past articles at http://www.wsj.com) discussing Chinas jump to VoIP as well as an article in the New York Times titled Losing Our Edge? It was technology that allowed us to overcome the tremendous outflows of manufacturing jobs over the past decades.
