Just saw a great Motorola Demo of WiMax on an OQO UMPC with an Intel
WiMax chip built in. Paul Norkus works for Motorola and tells me there
are about 20 WiMax devices in the booth. This one is downloading at 1
Mbps and we are seeing 768 Kbps upload speeds. He says these numbers
could be higher if not limited by trade show backhaul. In fact a
subsequent test was 30% faster.
