The Lighter Side of Traveling

It has been an interesting trip. I have been meeting so many companies these last few weeks and I believe I have about 30 stories or so already to write up. Many of these companies have their information under embargo and this presents another challenge as I need to keep track of what is allowed to be published when, where and how.

Hopefully I can get to all of the news and add appropriate insight soon. The challenge is always what happens if the news gets old before I get to it? Is it better to write about it late than not at all? Such are some of the simple challenges I deal with.

Other simple challenges are my hotel stay the other night. You see the hotel was very nice – probably as many diamonds and stars as you can get. Unfortunately this means the pillows have to be of the highest caliber goose feather possible. The feathers were so unique that they threatened to escape the pillow as I slept and I spent much of the night getting poked by the pointy sides of the feathers. I actually had to pull a few of them out as I was afraid I would be blinded during the night.

Suffice it to say I didn’t sleep too well.

This is likely why I was so groggy at security on the way to Miami last night that when they made me take my belt off and put it through the conveyor belt – i forgot to pick it up on the other side. One day soon I expect to see “Rich Tehrani’s Belt” show up on eBay. At least now you know it’s authentic.

Thankfully last night’s rest was much better and I am very excited to be at Dialogic’s One event in Miami.
