ITEXPO West 2008 Show Guide

itexpo-west-2008-show-guide.jpgI have been looking at the show directory for next week’s Internet Telephony Conference & Expo and am very happy to report this event will be one of the best we have produced. When I saw the draft of the directory on the way to the printer I immediately asked my team to have it turned into a PDF so everyone can see it in advance.

Most of the links below will get you directly to the PDF which is 17 MB in size so please don’t download over dial-up or wireless where you pay per minute.

My show letter is a great place to start as it gives you the details of what is happening at the show.

All the top names are in the show… Cisco, Avaya, Time Warner Cable, Mitel, Interactive Intelligence and Dialogic. In addition, the most important open-source communications companies will be exhibiting. Digium/Asterisk, Sangoma, Fonality, Pika, Orecx, Xorcom, Redfone, FreeSide and many more.

Every IP PBX vendor who matters will be there. Every SMB VoIP provider… There will also be a great deal of solutions for service providers, call centers and more. The entire communications vendor community will be in attendance.

Page 7 is a good one to reference on your smartphone so save this link as it has the booth and meeting room numbers of all exhibitors so far.

On page 16 there is tremendous detail regarding the Ingate SIP Trunking Workshop which is supported by Avaya, Cbeyond, Digium, BandTel, Voxitas, Shoretel, Broadsoft, Iwatsu, VoIPSA, Bandwidth.com, Mitel, SipConnect, Broadvox and Computer Telephony Distributing.

Page 18 focuses on the Reseller Solutions day presented by Interactive Intelligence and is one of my favorite events of each show. It also focuses on the Voice Peering Fabric Workshop.

AudioCodes will be at the show and in their ad on page 20 they focus on promoting their partner ecosystem which according to the ad includes Microsoft, Avaya, Nortel, ShoreTel, Digium, Pingtel, Genesys, Interactive Intelligence and FaxBack.

Page 22 talks about the keynotes from Skype, Microsoft, Sonus, AudioCodes, Broadsoft, 8×8/Packet8, Avaya, Texas Instruments and Cisco and reminds us all about the networking reception Tuesday, September 16 at 5:00 PM sponsored by Dash Carrier Services, the Aculab sponsored networking reception Wednesday, September 17 at 4:00 PM in the exhibit hall and the Toyota Prius drawing on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 4:55.

Page 41 has a bright orange ad from Sansay which caught my eye. The company is shaking things up in the SBC market with some good size wins. As you may know, much of the Sansay team came from Nuera, one of the major carrier VoIP companies going back to the nineties.

Page 66-67 are interesting as there is an ad here from Dialogic which details the company’s history which goes back to 1983. Much of the openness we enjoy today comes from companies like Dialogic, NMS, Pika, AudioCodes and Aculab who really allowed the communications market to escape its proprietary roots.

In all, this show guide is one of the most exciting I have seen in many years. The number of new companies at the show is at record levels as well. Also the number of attendees is hitting record levels and we are seeing strong attendee growth daily.

I am truly enthused to be your host at the world’s communications conference next week and I hope to welcome you personally.
