Is a Negative Comment From Dell a Positive?

Fifteen years ago Michael Dell infamously said that Apple should shut down the company and return the money to shareholders. Big mistake. But honestly, at that time most everyone who wasn’t in the cult of Apple would have agreed.

Now, ex-Dell CEO Kevin Rollins says no one wants a Microsoft tablet as they are happy with Android and Apple. Again, most people would agree with this comment – but is it the contrarian indicator that means Microsoft may actually be more successful than many think? Well, it is possible. Microsoft certainly has the cash to throw at this business to ensure they have a great product at a great price. We’ll know more when pricing is announced and these things get into the wild.
