Nortel dumps bandwidth exchange suit

CNET had an article today on Nortel dropping its bandwidth exchange suit against Arbinet. Here is an excerpt.Nortel Networks said Tuesday it is dropping a copyright infringement lawsuit against Arbinet's Thexchange, which buys and sells bandwidth and telephone voice minutes. Arbinet agreed to pay Nortel an undisclosed amount as part of the settlement, according to Nortel.Arbinet is a leader in the VoIP peering space and is going to be going public soon while Nortel has received much press lately over earnings that were not stated correctly. This settlement seems like good news for both companies as they are in high-growth markets and this should allow them to concentrate more on building their businesses. On a related note, we are launching a  VoIP Peering Summit at the next Internet Telephony show in Miami. Arbinet was years ahead of their time. this market is very hot and there is a tremendous amount of interest in voice peering.
