I think it's very generous you are giving away billions of dollars to those less fortunate. However, the average american person is less fortunate. Poverty is all around us. Trying to make ends meet is a struggle for the average american. I am a middle class person.. well, at least I've considered myself middle class.
Being brought up that the only way to make a buck is through hard intense work. 40 plus hour weeks. This to me is all I grew up believing. It's the only way I was told that my bank account will accumulate.My father is a hard working man,came to this country not speaking a word of english... raised 8 kids practically with his two hands. We always had food, clothes and a warm bed to sleep in. But advancement was not in our books. There really wasn't money for it. Today, I look back and see MANY opportunities my dad had but never took ... why? probably didn't want to risk his families necessities(food, clothes, house). My dad still believes today that the only way to make money is thru hard work. Do I believe this? No!!! I believe there are many opportunities awaiting us all. We just need to take risks!
I have married a man who has the same thoughts as I do, and who came from the same background as I. Parents who have worked so hard all their lives but yet did not advance.
I WANT TO ADVANCE... I want to be able to give back to our parents what they couldn't do for us, for simple fear of losing it all. I want to give to my family what I was never given... opportunity!
I have no doubt that my husband and I will do so. Right now, he's started his own business in finish carpentry and it's taking off slow, but pays well. I will view my options and see which path will guide me to what everyone dreams of.... wealth!

I am not looking for a handout, I am simply looking for a helping hand for a start-up agri-business. I would hope someone, an investor like Warren Buffet, would LOAN me $120,000-$200,000 for a limited partnership for which the investor will be repaid with adequate interest, 10-12%.
I have 10+ acres of forested land with hardwood, softwoods and a few nut trees that I would be willing to use as collateral against this LLC partnership loan as well as any additional land I may purchase with the loan monies. A-I am in the process of getting to be affilliated internationally and get apostolic covering with the ministry that has reputation world wide. I am writing to you about my sister Maria who God blessed me with. She is so precious and I love her so very much and Maria loves the Lord with all her heart. Maria has been going through some very hard times and it just is not right. She has had diabetes from childhood and now she is in the hopsital in Colorado lying in bed very ill she got very ill and she had to go to the hospital because of an infection in her leg and they had a tube placed in her leg. The tube was not taken out of her leg correctly wich casused further infection in Maria’s leg causing it to have to be cut off. I was so angry over all this that I just cried and cried. She is back in that same hopsital dealing with another infection in her leg. She lost a lot of blood after a surgery she had and when her hemaglobin dropped from 12 to 6 while she was still in the hospital it caused her eye sight to get worse.

She has tried and tried to get her disability approved but still after years and years they have not approved her disability. I know that there are a lot precious people out there who need help and everyone is important to God not just my sister but this is the precious sister that God gave me and I want to do everything I can to get help for her she is living with her friends in Jesus in Corlorado right now. Their names are Debbie and Charlie but I live in Omaha Nebraska and I do not have the means to help her. All I have are my prayers. They entered into business agreement with my Husband Liaqat Hussain according to which my husband got export business for textiles through Letter of credits from EU customers in millions of dollars against 2% commission but by dishonesty Mahmood & His son not only availed the funds against those L/cs and usurped them but also refused to pay even a single penny to my husband.Meanwhile, we came to now that both Mahmood and His son were forging with the banks as earlier Mr.Mahmood was defaulter of another bank usurping millions of Pak rupees but later on he made another bogus firm in the name of his son who was government employee of State Bank of Pakistan and fishing my husband to get L/cs they widthdraw apx 25 million rupees form their bank and later defaulted .

Upon serving notice to Azhar Mahmood for recovery of our outstanding amount of the business as well as highlighting their forgery with my husband and with governemnt of Pakistan, we requested them to either return the Lcs with due dammages cost to our customers and decidie through third party or by judiciary if they have some issues. During course of business Mahmood ali managed to steal away some blank unsigned cheques from my Husband`s old account books and filling them with their own writing, putting fictitious signs got them dishonoured from bank and ultimately my husband Liaqat Hussain and his brothers Sadaqat Saeed, Yousuf Saeed and their Father Mohammad Saeed Ahmed were involved into 17 fake cases of cheques,kidnapping,torture etc with the league of local police and my husband Liaqat Hussain had to be in the Jail for apx 275 days and his brother sadaqat saeed still in the District Jail of Lahore.Pakistan.

In protest as a woman i approached all concerned authorities in person and to some by letters but all in vain and the cruel police of Pakistan helping those culprits Mahmood and his son who caused us financial,mental,physical and social death and we are pennyless right now. we are under heavy debts since my husband lost his business during his jail and still under trial of 17 fake cases.Whatever property my husband had, most of it is sold to contest these fake cases and rest which was Bank pludged already, now under stayed by the concerned court on the petition of that culprit Mr.Mahmood ali shaikh.

My technology was intended to be a replacement for natural gas but after it was a going thing, I realized that it would be possible to expand the processes and it would act to replace all energy requiring systems. All vehicles could be fit with this system next week, eleiminating the need for all foreign oil and global warming emissions. All pwer generating facilities could be fit with this process and generate electricity without using coal or natural gas and so further pollute the air we breathe. I need an electrical engineer to complete my work. The benefit of what I can do is emmense. Please have Mr Buffet or a close associate contact me concerning the ultimate conclusion of this work.

I could not agree more with ICJ's comment. I to would love to be rich and famous and all of those things not just for me but for those around me who I need to help. The thing is I would like to be able to say that I could do this by myself, even though it is a tough world out there. The difficulty of it all is trying to get in touch with people who are able to help you get an idea or something off the ground, because let's face it you do need the support from people who have the resources and power to make thing happen. My name is Darren and I am from Australia, I am Australian born and bred, I come from a middle class family I suppose you could call it where both my parents worked exceptionally hard their whole lives to try and give us the best start. The only problem is my parents were old school and said that you have to go out and get a trade and work your rear end off to have some sort of life, to an extent it is true, hard work is what is needed, but there are also many other things such as persistance and the willingness to step out of ones comfort zone and seek the endless opportunities that this world can provide. I have stepped out as much as I can and need advise on how to acheive the success I am looking for but it is so difficult for the ordinary person to be able to speak to someone like yourself, I have tried to get hold of the likes of Bill Gates and all I got was a response from someone saying that he does not give advise. This I find difficult to handle, If I were in a position where I could help others even if it's just advise I would think it were my duty as a fortunate person to be able to do this. My biggest dream is to be the richest man in the world, not for me, but for what I could do to help people in need. I found out that there were grants and loans to help me launch my new invention. So I started filling out all the applications for these loans. After submitting all the necessary paperwork, I received no responses for all my hard work. I started thinking that no one seems interested enough in saving their children from being kidnapped. Little do most people realize, that a child is taken every minute of the day.

(I do have a criminal record from back in the mid 80's when I was a cement head and got involved with heroin and criminal activity). Since then, not even a parking ticket. Dear Mr. Buffet: In 1995 after several years on the waiting list for a liver transplant I was called up one night and told "Come on down we have a liver for you." We were living in Carson City, Nevada then and owed and operated a Real Estate Development Company which developed five residential and commercial projects in Carson City and nearby areas.

My husband John you see has over thirty years in the real estate business and happens to be a genus. His only fault if you wish to call it a fault is that he trusts everyone, and it has led to our downfall many times, still he does not give up.

Back to medical history. I started at the bottom of the transplant list but then after ulcer bleed and then surgery for gallstone swipe and then other medical high risk surgeries I got my transplant. We were so excited when I made it through with no major problems.

But then in 1996 after months of major heart problems my husband John had to be transferred out of local Hospital to San Francisco Hospital for heart transplant.

He was there for six plus months before he received a heart transplant. Meanwhile, our business suffered, and although we were in touch with our staff and partners, they opened up new corporations and moved all our projects into them, saying that there was a clause in the partnership agreement that let them fire us after six months. So, they fired us after taking them projects away. John had already developed the land, road improvements and residential showroom homes were built. We were left with no income at all. We then came home to loss of home, cars, high medical bills took our savings, and I sold our antique furnishings to pay our share of medical bills and medications, each of us had bills of over a quarter of a million dollars, and medications still cost us over three thousand a month, as we take anti-rejection drugs. Meanwhile, I have since had to have heart surgery for heart problems, and John lost his leg two years ago after years of medical treatments for diabetes and infectious deseases. We both suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure and other medical.

What we both need are jobs, but we can not work full time, and John could be off Social Security if he made enough monthly. I would like to continue my work with helping others get on medication programs. I started working for others in 1995 Along with getting my Assoc degree in General Studies in 2000, then opened a small office through the financial assistance of Womens Assoc of Nevada. But I did not have enough funding to keep it going, and couldn't advertise throughout state for clients. My business was call The Prescription Assistant located in Carson City, Nv. We now live in Loma Linda, California and see doctors in our community. We are disabled and get Social Security and I get Welfare, but we do not have a car, we lost it as we could not afford its payments any longer. We eat lightly due to not having enough monies and I get madder than hell that I can not help others get on the patient assistance programs that are provided by the major pharmacutical companies. I need your help and if you and your wife are willing to sponsor us to get financially back on our feet, we will help others do it too. I admire what your family is doing to help people in need. I am a 47 year old disable truckdriver, now living on social security disability. I am married with three children living at home. What I am writing to ask you about is, I am trying through The Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services to start a foster care home that houses ten to twenty children. Hi Mr. Warren I was watching yesterday that you love to help the needy. Im not one to ask for anything unless Im really in need of it less alone ask for any money. I don't have a vehicle to take my kids anywhere. My parents are so nice that they lend me theirs.At some point there is that we fight and i end up walking everywhere.I do have a job but it is no big help i have 4 small children that I have to take care of they are my pride and joy no matter if I don't have enough to by them clothes or any toys as long as they have my love is enough. It is extremely awkward to contimplate on writing a letter such as this, let alone actually doing it. Maybe by the end of it, I will have enough courage and hope to send it. I'm not sure of a certain something to ask for or a certain amount to request from your generosity, but I do have these recent unfortunate evets that have occured in my life over the last few months that leave me laying awake at night, if not crying myself to sleep.
At the age of 16 I became pregnant with my son, who is now almost 11 years old. It was hard to learn how to be a mom while maintaining a job and attending high school. Thank the Lord for my parents because they both became the main source of help to me at such an early age. In the next 2 years, I married my sons' father, who I met when I was only 15 years old. Our marriage did not last long tho. I guess it's not often that you meet someone at such a young age who you get to experience true love with.
At the age of 21, I actually fell in love for the first time. I became pregnant and had the high hopes of starting a normal, functional family of 4. I was extatic when I found out I was having a girl, whom I named Makayla Ashley. However, I was heart-broken when I felt her move inside of me for the last time on April 1,2002. A day and a half later, with 6 weeks left until my due date, I went to the hospital, already knowing what had happened but fearing the confirmation of it. My daughter had passed away. Giving birth to her was, at the time, the hardest thing I thought I would ever have to face. My son and her have the same birthday, April 4,2002, just 5 years to the day apart. Shortly after, as my luck seems to go, her father and I parted ways. This was not easy for me to accept. It took my a full 2 years to accept the fact that not only had I lost my baby girl, but the first guy who I truely loved. Along with it, I lost the hope of ever having another baby with him and mending my heart.
It wasn't easy, but with my son to still care for, I kept on working and trying to provide for him the best I could. We've never had the best of anything and both of us have to do without most.
Then, in August of 2005, I met the most amazing man in the world, who I think of as my soulmate. His name was David. I never thought that the feeling I felt when I was around him was possible. He was the reason I looked forward to tomorrow. He would tell me that he would watch me sleep and cry because he loved me so much. I was, for the first time, totally in awe. After a year and a half into our relationship, I stopped working and had the intention of being a stay-at-home mom. In March of 2007, I began not working and absolutely loved being there for my son every moment and having dinner ready when Dave came home from work.
Things began to take a turn for the worst in May 2007 as I was in a terrible car accident and totaled my car, which had only 6 more car payments until it was paid off. On June 10th, just a few days after the accident, I found out I was pregnant again. I was finally going to have the family that I've wanted for many years. Happiness lasted only a week when I received a phone call on June 17,2007 that my love, Dave, had passed away. I cannot put into words how my heart ached for him and still aches everyday for my best friend, the father of my unborn baby. I made the decision to keep my baby. After all, he is a part of me and Dave. I am now 7 1/2 months pregnant and very overwhelmed. I will name our baby Jake David. I am scared. I stopped working, totaled my car, found out I was pregnant and lost his father within 3 months. It was hard to wake up each day and still be a mother to my son. I have managed to get a car, which comes along with a car payment of $300 a month for the next 5 years and a full-time job working 35 hours a week for $10 an hour. Having an apartment and an 11 year old son while being pregnant with another baby and alone is almost impossible. I have made an effort to get an evening part-time job also but no company's seem to want to hire a single mother who is almost due to give birth again. In between these moments, my parents have divorced and both moved their seperate ways out of state. I am alone with almost 2 children and trying to make ends meet. I don't have enough income to account for my outgoing bills. God knows I try. I am prepared to do what is needed of me for my children. However, it breaks my heart when my 11 year old, Chris, asks if we can go to McDonald's and I have to say no because I don't have the extra money for a happy meal or enough gas to drive the extra few miles. I am very embarrassed to ask for any help from you, but even the smallest assistance would be a dream come true. And even if no further contact is made between you and I, thank you for letting me have the opportunity to cry upon your ears.

Everyone has a story, and everyone has a need. I'm not any better or any worse off than the rest of the population. I play the lottery often because I would like to know for once what its like to not be broke. It must be wonderful to be rich, I wish I knew that feeling of being able to purchase whatever you want, being able to help strangers..just because. I wish I was satisfied with being average, but I dream often of hitting the big one. What a lucky man you are! I was told that you have a charity for people in need. This letter is very difficult for me to write, because I am a very proud person and have always succeeded in life. However; in the last few years, my husband and I have hurdled some very big obstacles. My husband was diagnosed with chrons' disease, which makes him very ill, as there is no cure for it. This disease makes it very difficult for him to work. Approximately two months ago he had two back surgeries on top of it, and this has disabled him from work, as well.
