Clinton’s BYOD Phones, E-mail Server May Achieve Bin Laden’s Goal

One of Osama Bin Laden’s goals was to assassinate president Obama in order to get Joe Biden promoted to president.

Said Bin Laden:

Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make [Vice President] Biden take over the presidency. . . . Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the U.S. into a crisis.

Now it seems Bin Laden’s goals may be achieved thanks to Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know that Clinton used a private email server located in the bathroom of her IT service provider’s loft, to store top secret government emails and in the process broke numerous laws, which could add up to penalties of 11 years or more in prison.

Clinton has tried to talk her way out of the hole she has dug for herself by saying she deleted 30,000 emails on the server as they were related to her yoga classes and daughter’s wedding but assured the public that no secret documents were housed on the server. Then she later changed her tune. The FBI recently seized said server which has been professionally wiped clean according to bureau.

To make matters worse, it seems Clinton and her team operated on the BYOD paradigm meaning potentially the smartphones they used were as or less secure than the server. Where are these devices now? Wouldn’t you know it – they are gone!

Clinton, for her part, has tried to take the focus off the server by making light of it. She volunteered she has a Snapchat account and loves it because the messages delete themselves. Moreover, when asked if she wiped her server, she responded, “What, like with a cloth or something?”

In short, it seems the email server will be the undoing of this presidential candidate.

At least that’s how it looks at this point.

A solid article today from Monica Crowley, explains that Obama has been working behind the scenes to have Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren run instead of Clinton.

Unless you are engaged in the political process, you likely aren’t aware of the shortcomings of most of the candidates – perhaps with the exception of Donald Trump who everyone has seen on TV at one point or another.

The point is, their problems are typically abstract and complicated.

The issue for Clinton is the “with a cloth” comment could catch fire with opponents.

When President Bush ran against John Kerry, his campaign portrayed John Kerry as a flip-flopper on major issues. At the RNC convention, huge flip-flops were distributed to the audience and seen on TV – reminding everyone that Kerry kept changing his mind. It was this visual aid that killed Kerry.

Likewise for Hillary… The RNC has already jumped on her cloth comment by beginning to sell a Hillary Clinton server wiping cloth. It has taken an abstract issue and turned it into one which is concrete. It doesn’t take much more marketing savvy to get these things into the hands of voters and show them on TV. How about bumper stickers? Clinton may not be able to defend against a concrete visual aid. Kerry couldn’t.

So there you have it… Osama Bin Laden failed to assassinate President Obama (thankfully) but an email server located in a bathroom may have done the job of getting Joe Biden into the Oval Office. Even if Biden doesn’t run or win, this use of technology, which wasn’t thought through according to a Clinton aide, will likely change the face of American history. Just be sure you think over the tech decisions you make in your organization, as poor planning today can’t easily be “wiped” away in the future. silly-me-smack-head
