OPAQ Teams with Ingram Micro and Cloud Harmonics to Provide Cloud-Delivered Security-as-a-Service

Ingram has evolved since the days of simple box selling… Gaining momentum in the cloud and cyber game. Their CloudMarketplace has been growing nicely. Their recent distribution agreement extends the reach of OPAQ Cloud to Ingram Micro and the Cloud Harmonics’ Global Network of Solution Provider Partners.

OPAQ has had some interesting patents granted, for software-defined segmentation and cyber risk assessment technology which is of great interest to us as it is so important for organizations to know their risk level.

Matt Sweeney, OPAQ Chief Architect

“This patented technology enables businesses to continuously know their risk management position and to compare risk profiles across business units in a very simple, reliable, and consistent way,” said Matt Sweeney, OPAQ Chief Architect. “This capability comes built-in with OPAQ’s firewall-as-a-service and endpoint protection-as-a-service offerings. It’s fully automated and orchestrated in the OPAQ cloud platform, which enables our partners to deliver high-margin, differentiated services to their customers.”

Eric Kohl, vice president, security, Ingram Micro

Moving to the present day, this partnership seems to be a win-win for OPAQ as they get access to a larger audience of MSPs and MSSps while Ingram gets another service to sell as it evolves beyond boxes.

“OPAQ expands our solutions portfolio, providing our channel partners with an enterprise-grade security solution that is consumed as a service, and extends from the core to the edge,” said Eric Kohl, vice president, security, Ingram Micro.“ Today’s solution providers and MSPs demand easy to use and effective tools to secure their customers’ networks. We are pleased to bring OPAQ to market with Cloud Harmonics, an Ingram Micro company, to bring new and emerging security technologies to our channel partners.”

Glenn C. Hazard, Chairman & CEO of OPAQ

“Ingram Micro’s global footprint and deep resources is making the OPAQ Cloud accessible overnight to service providers in the world’s top markets,” said Glenn C. Hazard, Chairman & CEO of OPAQ. “This strategic alliance gives Ingram Micro solution providers access to a fully integrated security-as-a-service platform designed to deliver enterprise-grade protection for any size customer without investing in security infrastructure. With the OPAQ cloud platform, solution providers can deliver high-demand, differentiated services and accelerate revenue growth.”
