Skype, SIP and Asterisk

As the worlds of Skype, SIP and Asterisk become ever more popular, it was only a matter of time before a company started to converge the three. TMCnet’s Tom Keating has some analysis of a new gateway from Italy-based Skip2PBX… The people behind the gateway that seems to connect to everything but the kitchen sink. Rumor has the next version will do this as well. 😉

You may recall I covered Skip2PBX myself a few weeks back. The last I heard, the company’s Caristopher Arkin will be at ITEXPO in just over a week so you can learn more at the show.

I was just at a recent trade show and noticed that this Skip2PBX Skype gateway software also now works with Sangoma hardware. It is not only limited to Digium and in fact seems Sangoma has partnered up with this product now as well!
Skip2PBX has already sent me a demo and the installation is very straightforward and the operating system is completely self-contained!
    These are excellent developments.
