As I have mentioned in the past I sweep all my Twitter follows into a folder and check them out from time to time. Today is one of those days and I wonder aloud how there can be so many get rich quick people on Twitter. Are there so many gullible Twitter followers falling for these schemes?
Interestingly the proportion of spam follows in my Twitter follow folder seems to have gone down in the past month meaning Twitter could be doing a better job of filtering out the junk.
On a related note — to improve productivity, I have been meaning to try Tweetdeck, a program Luca Filigheddu suggested to me some time back.

December 4, 2009 at 2:49 pmBut the Twitter get rich schemes will not boost the economy. Any MLM emphasizing no real service or product provided, chain letters, gambling, too good to be true scams offline or online will not either. It’s noise, best to be ignored or made public for what it is to stop the gullible from falling again.
I use Tweetback every time my URL is too long and needs shrinking. 😉 When can I get an audio podcast interview with you, Rich?
