Is it ambient noise that was the problem in this demo or something else? This demo shows how bad a live demo can go at times. Obviously Microsoft Speech Recognition software has to be better than this. I haven’t had a chance to test it but speech rec programs 10 years ago were better than this demo. Take a listen for yourself.

Hi,
I have been a Skype user for over 1 year. It is great. This morning I tried to turn on Voice Recognition in MS Publisher. It did not work. My speaking was not "heard" on the PC.
But worse! It seems to have stopped my microphone from working at all. HELP!!! PLEASE. My daughter is out of the country. She Skyped me, I heard her, saw her and was able to Chat. But she could not hear me.
What did I do?
How do I fix it?
Thanks,
Earl Strassberger
You need to reinstall your headset/Mic drivers. You should be good to go.
