Richard Branson

December 17, 2005

Something tells me Tracey who received a personal letter from Warren Buffet will not be receiving one from Richard Branson soon. Sure she may get a prerecorded phone call but no, not a letter complimenting her on an article. Well at least not this one.

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Mr. Branson,

I have an ongoing project that has spanned almost 3 decades from the time I became interested to present and have spent the last 6 years of my life converting a dream to reality designing, building and testing a speedboat with intent on 'setting' a world record running from Chicago to the mouth of the St. Lawrence River and subsequently intend using this event as a fundraiser for a large Christain ministry. This history making run will encompass roughly 50% in Canadian waters. There is an existing record from Chicago to Detroit. However, we are going to go approximately another 600 miles to our destination for four reasons. One, it hasn't been done. Two, being of modest means, I haven't the resources to compete with the teams who have held the coveted 'Evinrude Trophy'. Three, Canada
is our neighbor and good friends to our north and I would like to recognize them in this effort. Four, I have a strong desire to use this event as a fundraiser to benefit Sunshine Ministries in Grand Rapids Michigan as they were there for me during a despirate time in my life and this is my way of giving back in the magnitude I feel appropriate. I have simply exhausted my revenues from designing, building and readying my boat for this attempt and have found myself needing one more advertiser for the opperating expenses in this event. I would love to send you more information and photo's of my boat and an opportunity to discuss adding one or more of your companies to my list of advertisers/sponsors. I am not seeking an extreme figure ($10,000), just enough for the expenses of the event and in trade, am offering you major exposure on the boat. Should you find interest in this, please forward your email address so I may compile the information and photo's and send them to you. Thank you so much for your time.

Sincerely,

Paul W. Rigney

TO: "The Nice Guy" (Mr. Branson)

I have been in the helping profession for over 14 years. One of the things I have always lived by and try to instill in people is to not be afraid to "ask" because you never know when you can catch someone on a good day.

I sometimes sit and wonder what it would be like to be out of debt at least once in my life time. So, here's hoping I catch you on a "spontanious, good day". $200,0000 (two hundred trousnad dollars) would get me out of debt and maybe even get me and my husband a cruize -- we've never been on one.

Realistically, I know your eyes will brobaly never see or read a line of this. You probably get things like this all the time. At least I'll know I tried.

You have a good life because you are a nice / good person. Money alone does not do that.

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Sir Richard

DEVELOPMENT OF BIODIESEL IN SOUTH AFRICA

I work for a leading engineering company who is busy with the development of biodiesel in South Africa for the past 18 months. A lot of work has been done already in this regard. They are all very tallented, university degreed engineers with a very advanced developed technology. A large portion of farmland in South Africa has been given by the government to black farmers who can be trained to grow whatever they need to manufacture their biodiesel of - a 100% pure biodiesel - not mixed with oil. They are approached on a daily basis by clients who wants to buy their services, skills and technology but none have the money to pay for their services. My company keep on investing their own money in these ventures but cannot continue like this. If my company can raise their own capital they can run with this project tomorrow. They have everything in place and this might be the beginning of "Virgin Fuels". This project can be expanded to the rest of Africa and will not only contribute to your global warming project but will also help in the fight against poverty in Africa - a continent that leans itself to the growing of all sorts of plants that can be used in the manufacturing of biodiesel. Other than Europe, Africa has these vast open spaces that can be turned into farmland very successfully.

My company needs $2.7 million to build their pilot plant and $20 million do build their first factory. The pilot plant site they have already and the factory site they are busy with the negotiations.

Our MD, Mr Eugene van Oudtshoorn, can be contacted at +27 (0) 11 605-2144 or on his cell 082 560 5095.

Kind regards

MARINA

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Mr Branson

My name is Sara, I am 23 and live in New Zealand (The one with the big hole in the ozone) After recently watching
An Inconvenient Truth last month I became empowered to do something about the state of global warming. I as one person can only do so much (use less petrol, plant a tree etc)If everyone thought this way then the problem would surely be reduced somewhat.
I then, a week later saw you with Al Gore on CNN, plegde 3 Billion dollars to combat gloabl warming and work towards producing more efficient environmentally friendly feuls for virgin planes within the next 4 years.
This Mr Branson also got me thinking - What about all the other planes flying ALL THE TIME leaving every second from hundreds of locations from hundreds of different airlines All over the world - (Not just Virgin) ALL of them putting god knows how much damaging Co2 and pollution in the atmoshphere at the level and height that it does the most damage. We here on land can only do so much within ourselves to help with global warming - But those like yourself with the power and money and probably resources to do something about it - I feel could do more. Three Billion dollars is surely a brilliant start.
Along with better feuls - Surely if there were less planes in the air at this damaging level then Co2 emmisions would be drastically reduced and many people would be responsible for helping combat the scary fact that is global warming. Almost defintely to the benefit of their people and the world.
Forgive me for not being as business minded as I could be or even ignorant to the nature and scale of the money involved but surely if something serious and on grand scale is not done within 5-10 years (these things take time) then Mr Gore's predictions and scientific evidence will surely become reality for many areas of this once beautiful earth.
Why are so many people on such a hurry to jump on a plane and fly somewhere anyway? Maybe we should be cherishing what we have in our own backyards while we still can.

Dear Mr Branson.

I have a simple idea that i think will be a great seller.

The idea came to me 9 years ago and no-one has ever made or designed anything close.

I do not have the capital to do this otherwise i would have and i have tried to tell the relative people, but they would not listen or even give me a chance.

From experiance it is usually the simple uncomplicated ideas that work.

Please would you e-mail me if you have the time, or if you are interrested.

Hi Richard, This mail is with reference to mobile phones. Here in England people are against mobile phone masts so instead of putting more up why can't we invent a signal booster that you have at home.I live in Devon and the mobiles are a nightmare for everyone no signal. It could be a docking station that you place your phone into. All my family are on the virgin network but struggle at home to get a signal even if we want to text. Hope to receive a reply and possibly meeting with you.

RE: Richard Branson

Sir B,

We need initiatives in South Africa to create work for the unemployed. We do have a high unemployment figure and it is not easy to address.

One of these initiatives could be the driving of exothermic combustions with waste organic matter to create energy….electric power. “Clean Virgin power”. This will not only address unemployment BUT it will help to address the energy needs of a fast growing “power hungry” economy. It can also create a cleaner and more effective sewage
usage!!

Imagine the difference this can make to our complete system. All you need is to set up these exothermic power plants at the big city sewage works and wherever there are usable organic wastes……..

See you soon…

Dear Mr Branson:

I heard your comments on a special investigative report by CNN called Out of Gas. I am led to believe you are serious about funding alternative type fuels. There seems to be a lot of hype about ethanol 85, but I truly believe this is a deadend source of fuel. Please take a look at http://www.insidegreentech.com/node/1205
and you will see a much better alternative. At least we have an abundance of water all over the entire world.

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Mr.Branson,

I have heard about you as a very supportive person.

We made a discovery that you may be interested in.

My friends had discovered how to save the sick earth as you have told on the youtube.

By using a green technology and to simplify an oil refinery we can totally reduce the pollution and at the sametime, lessen the oil production costs. There is also so much more that it can do.

We have proven this by experiments and it works. It's really a breaktrough technology! Not even an ethanol or any boifuel technologies nowadays can match this!

We need some support on how can we get this technology started, an advice or anything you could give us. We want to show this also to you actually.

This technology really works. Please we need your support.

Thank you for reading this message.

RE: Richard Branson

Hello Mr. Branson,

EcoSafe® biodegradable plastic trash bags, compost bags, doggie bags, industrial garbage bags, shopping bags and other products are engineered to degrade and totally fragment in 90 to 120 days and 60% mineralize within 12 to 24 months when disposed of in a well managed commercial compost facility and subsequent soil application.

EcoSafe® Bags and other compost compatible bags are produced with premium materials that will degrade/biodegrade in landfill disposal, in some longer term commercial compost operations or if carelessly littered. Depending on available oxygen and microbial activity of the disposal site, the materials will quickly degrade within 3 to 4 months and fully biodegrade in approximately 24 months .

Yes, plastics are a problem; what's the Solution?

Plastics are remarkable materials that are used in millions of single use applications for consumer, commercial, agricultural and industrial applications.

The issues of the "wasteful use of diminishing resources" and, "plastic as an environmental pollutant" are well documented in hundreds of studies and articles. While "Reduce Reuse Recycle" programs will always be paramount in the greening of plastics, the fact is, most of the billions of pounds of plastics that are produced each year end up as garbage in a landfill. Adding to the negative legacy, plastic bags actually entomb and preserve the naturally biodegradable refuse that makes up more than 40% of all household garbage.

For plastic products to achieve the ultimate status as a material in complete harmony with a naturally sustainable environment, the life cycle of plastic had to be reengineered to end its life cycle as a "totally degradable" material.

Plastics are a problem, because they are bioinert. They persist for decades after use. Over time plastics will oxidize, fragment and disintegrate. It simply takes too long. The growing problem is compounded daily.

Accumulating litter from consumer, commercial, agricultural and industrial sources causes a worldwide backlash against plastics. Regulatory approaches today tend to deal with the symptoms. They try to fix the problem once the plastic is already in the litter stream.

It is our view and the view of many pre-eminent scientists that the long-term solution must deal with the problem at the source by encouraging the use of "controlled life-cycle materials".
Our brand delivers "controllable lifecycles" for commodity polyolefin and synthetic plastics.

After use, this plastic is safely returned to the natural bio-cycle as 'organic carbon', ingested by micro-organisms. Our products accelerate the natural process by factors of 100 to 1,000 or more. This contributes to the fertility of compost, frees-up air space in landfills and protects against plastics in our environment.

• EcoSafe® biodegradable products are engineered to degrade and totally fragment in 90 to 120 days and 60% mineralize within 12 to 24 months when disposed of in a well managed commercial compost facility and subsequent soil application.

• There are several different types of biodegradable and compostable plastics that are made specifically for different purposes. Depending on planned use and intended disposal (landfill or compost) they are all better environmental options to ordinary plastics that can persist in the environment for decades.

• We offer three materials. Each is engineered to serve different purposes and all three degrade and biodegrade at different rates. They are environmentally safe and contain no heavy metals. Except for time frame, the biological processes are the same, returning the "organic carbon" in the materials back to the natural bio-cycle as a food source for microorganisms.

• All EcoSafe® and EcoDegradable® bag products feature the following:

• EcoSafe® products have been extensively tested and:

• Meet requirements under ASTM D6400-99 for ecotoxicity

• Meet CONEG regulations for heavy metal limitations

• Ingredients in the additives are on the FDA – GRAS list

• Comply with FDA requirements for direct food contact

• There are no harmful residues that could accumulate in the soil.

• Quality materials enable lower gauges without compromising performance.

• Seamless construction enables the bag to form-fit to the container making them highly puncture and tear resistance.

• Star Seal bottoms provide superior strength, easy removal and leak protection.

• EcoSafe® Biodegradable Compost Bags and Liners are available in medium and heavy duty in a variety of standard sizes. Custom sizes are also available.

If given the choice to improve and save our environment, wouldn’t you say yes? It starts with you.

By using EcoSafe products you are helping to make our planet cleaner for years to come.

Think about how many grocery and trash bags are used a day, and think about how you are contributing to that waste. Regular garbage bags and grocery bags take up to 1,200 years to biodegrade. EcoSafe products take only 60-90 days….yes days!

Set an example for others and impress your customers by making a statement. Show by example that your company is helping not hurting the environment.

Now more then ever consumers across the country are become more aware of the condition of our planet, and intern is taking action to preserve our natural resources. It is imperative to stop the cycle of waste and pollution, and you can start with one easy step.

Take this simple step, use EcoSafe products and change the world one bag at a time.

Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.

Thanks you very much. Have a great day.

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Mr Branson, I have tried many things, ways, and have put a lot of effort into the the upliftment of the historically disadvantaged people of this country. My heart goes out to them, as I was a historically disadvantaged white person. Y ou may think this is a bit far fetched, but the old era was very class concious, and because I came from a poor family, ( 7 sisters and 3 brothers), I was never going to be in the master race class. Now, at the age of 40 years, I finally have the time to leave all the house work and attend college.
I am studying to become a platinum smith, and want to learn how to make the finest, and / or made to order, platinum jewelry in the world. With me in the class are at least 4 of the finest and most willing black students, who do not want to be CATEGORIZED into either casting, designing, polishing departments, but want to create their own pieces. This will unfortunately, not happen at the college. the reason I write to you, is for the sponsership of a separated division of the the college that can operate, where students can design, create and manufacture their own jewelry, from conception to counter,or, even order, so to speak. We are are speaking of a place with surveillance cameras, high security etc, to protect the the unfortunate person blamed of theft of precious metal. This will not happen at our concept factory, because everything done, will be on record, and no bulk stores are required, because of our proximaty to the precious metals refinery, about 10 minutes away. I would APPRECIATE any council or asistance from you, and believe me, there are a lot of students willing and eager to comply. Mr Branson, we would like to negotiate a small investment from you, where we are driven to deliver great returns through our love of creativity of on of the most rare metals in the world.

Thankyou,
Suzette.

What you do is what God tells us to do for each other in the Bible and I believe that you will be rewarded with more than money alone. I tithe in church every Sunday because I feel that is what my God wants me to do and I am sure that the God is going through you to help people in need.
May God Bless you and your family in your lifetime and my prayers are with you and your family always.

RE: Richard Branson

DEAR RICHARD BRANSON.

Hi my name is Chantelle,
I live in Zimbabwe.I was one of the millions who read your book "screw it lets do it"Very nice.I dont like reading myself but very interesting......

I heard of you once or twice on sky news when you did the balloon trip just thought you were another rich american........

But the book said different. You genuinely do help and make quite an out the box change...certainly more then others do.

There is a south african program on sabc called carte blanche maybe you could find out more from them about a man who helps with investigations on missing people. He seems to be Quite accurate though not ever good news.

He some what uses a hair sample of the missing person.Perhaps this could help in the case of madeline. Please try make further inquiries.........

Take care.........

RE: Richard Branson

Sir Richard Branson,
I was recently reading about Japan's newest and fastest bullet train, which was recently launched on July 1,2007. I then wondered if it is possible to build a similar model from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. There are thousands of people who make that drive everyday and especially on the weekends and there is only one way to get there, which is the I-15. For majority of that trip there are old train tracks laid down on the side of the freeway thru nothing but desert. If you charge in between airfare and a bus ride it would be highly profitable. You are one of the few people who knows about transportation and have the finances to afford the N700. Please consider. Thank you

RE: Richard Branson

To Sir Richard Branson

Dear Sir,
I wonder if you have ever had a great idea but when you try to sell that idea, only a brick wall comes to meet you. I find myself in that kind of situation. Perhaps it is because I live in South Africa. Or because I do not posses a forceful enough character. Maybe I just haven't spoken to the right people.

It could be all or none of these things, but I am determined enough to write to you and tell you about it. Perhaps I can have your attention for a few of your valuable minutes while I explain.

I am from England and I moved to South Africa over thirty years ago. I have worked hard all my life in a job that fed and clothed my children but luckily I can now do the things that I always wanted to do. I was a hairdresser but after being in that job for thirty -five years my neck became too sore. So I can't do it anymore.

So I decided to think of a few inventions and I have patented two of them. When the lawyers had done there best to encrypt one of my devices into legalese they said, 'goodbye and go and make your millions!' Easier said than done. I have spoken to people and made numerous phone calls, but I am still in the dark, when it comes to finding a buyer for my inventions.

My husband John and I were watching a t v programme the other day called Carte Blanche and you were talking on it, about global warming. It stuck John that you, being an entrepreneur and someone who must have battled yourself to find a friendly ear. May be able to help us in some way, to move forward a step in the right direction.

I have not limited myself to inventions. I had always wanted to write a book and since I finished work I have written three. Each week I send off one of my books (three chapters apiece) to literary agents and although they answer me with a 'No, but good luck!' I still have high hopes for them. This I can understand as all writers go through the same story but with inventions it is different. Nobody here seems to know how to go about selling inventions. I can't stand in the middle of a shopping centre and give away my secrets. When I phone company's they want to know what I have invented. Do I tell them all, or um and ar about them?

I feel as if I am at a dead end, but I will not be defeated! I ask you for your help in some way. Time is marching but my 'bright ideas' are not! What can I do? You are well known for your visionary ideas. Perhaps you also were inspired once by someone, to act on your intuition. Your face on the t v inspired us to reach out to you for help. I am writing to you now because of my husband's intuition.

Thank you for your time sir.
Yours sincerely

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Mr. Branson,
I'm a senior in high school, and for most of my high school carreer I've really had a hard time finding books that I enjoy reading. I'm currently reading "Losing My Virginity" and I wanted to let you know (knowing you likely won't ever see this) that I've become addicted to hearing the story of your life. Everything you write about in this book is fascinating to read, and I find your perseverence truly inspiring. I am currently applying to colleges, and at a recent interview I had I was asked the classic question: If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would it be and why. I answered David Bowie, Frederik Neitzche, and Richard Branson. I know it is ridiculous to ask for, but I'm going to be a naiive teenager and ask anyway - is there any way I could ever actually meet you in person? I would love to sit with you and hear the voice behind the book that has enveloped my free time over the past week, and talk about music, business, and life in general. Anyway, I know this probably won't happen. But let me know if you're ever giving any kind of speeches in New York. I would love just to hear you talk.
Thanks,
Sam Tercek
Hastings, New York

Oh and by the way - you said in your book that sid vicious was the drummer of the sex pistols. He was actually the bassist. But hey - no worries!

RE: Richard Branson

Hello Sir R Branson
Mine is to congratulate you on your achievements and contribution to the society.
I am a 21 year old Kenyan currently studying Aeronautical Engineering in Russia on a scholarship. I have always believed working hard to get my dreams to come true.
I have not been able to visit home since I set off for Russia almost 4 years ago. I know my parents cannot currently afford to meet my fare.
Next summer however I need to join an aviation company for my internship. I would like to join a Kenya based airline so that I can get to get my internship training as well as be with my family for a little while. Your airline is now operating in Kenya and my request to you is to allow me to get my internship training through your airline. I will forever be grateful to you as I love and miss my family alot.
I sincerely pray that you get to read this mail although it does seem to be an impossibility.
Thank you anyway

RE: Richard Branson

Hello Sir Richard.
I'm a great fan of yours, followed all of your successes and I'm amongst the millions who think the lottery would have been better under your umbrella, but, I've been with NTL and then Virgin Media until this year, when in June I phoned to cancel having moved across to a competitor for my Broadband Internet.
I recieved a bill for 3 months outstanding bills in August which I paid and then asked for the account to be closed, again!
Last week, I recieved another bill and a default notice from Virgin. I have again, even though the service has not been used since July, agreed to pay the outstanding sum so that, hopefully, I can bring this recently disagreeable partnership to a close.
If I recieve another bill after this, I will be seeking legal counsel and, because of the stress caused, will be asking for punitive damages from Virgin Media.

Would you please address the difficulties customers are having when they decide to move on. I know it's in Virgin's best interests to keep customers, but is it not just as important that those customers are kept contented?

Sorry to have to air my views in this way, but the way I've been treated by Virgin Media is nothing short of disgusting.

A copy of this text has been saved, complete with the time and date it was sent, in case I have any further problems from this company.

RE: Richard Branson

I just want to say how dissappointed i am in the service of Virgin Mobile South Africa. I will never use virgin again and i will not recommend it to any of my friends or business partners. They are slow, never phone back when they say they will, never reply to any emails, and are just plain useless - just very, very disappointing. I really wish i had Richard Branson's e-mail address so that i can e-mail all the correspondece that i have sent to Virgin Mobile South Africa over the past 2 months. It took them 4 weeks to deliver our phones and it wasn't the couriers fault that it took so long, it took a week to port to our old number when we were told that it doesn't take very long and now 1 of the phones is faulty and i am now battling with them again. If i never have to speak to a person from Virgin again i will be very happy.

RE: Richard Branson

Hello Richard, you are an amazing individual!

My name is Amos Suchak, a Canadian by birth but now living in the USA. In 2004 I had an incredible idea when I was serving in the U.S. Navy on a Marine Base out in the Mojave Desert in California. I saw a row of solar panels near a gymnasium/fitness club. Immediately a "light" went off in my head I had an idea I had never heard or read about. What if every fitness club was powered by those who were expending their energy on the equipment inside, transfering the kinetic energy from human to machine to a generator for the club itself!?! Well, 2 years later I read in a Rolling Stone magazine issue that you were allready trying to do exactly what I had dreamt of in 2004. My jaw dropped to the floor, after reading this and I was impressed by your interest in this same way of thinking. I have some more ideas and I was wondering if I could share them with you and help change the planet?? What do I do next?

Sincerely,Amos Suchak.

World first opportunity
Hi, What you are about to become involved in is a world first event and a
unique opportunity for your name or product to become internationally
linked with this event. yes we are asking you for your patronage but what
we are offering in return far
out weighs what you put inWorld first opportunity
Hi, What you are about to become involved in is a world first event and a
unique opportunity for your name or product to become internationally
linked with this event. yes we are asking you for your patronage but what
we are offering in return far
out weighs what you put in patron and sponsor.
We at Trust Charities Funds are pleased to announce that we are in the
process of gathering funds for the construction of a high speed sailing
rescue ship to be used by Doctors without Borders the World Health
Organization and the World Food Program.
How would it benefit you as a sponsor?
• Besides the obvious such as tax incentives, moral fulfillment and
personal satisfaction the following benefits are available to you as a
sponsor depending on what tier you wish or are able to sponsor.
• Exposure and presence at an international media covered, world
first event.
• Your company branding on the ship.
• Your company branding at international media covered launches of
ships.
• Your company branding on marketing and advertising materials.
• Personal invitations to relevant closed VIP events where the rich
and
famous meet.
• Unique Networking opportunities.
• Continuous national and international media exposure. Your brand
will be
associated with world rescue and aid events, Green Branding.
• And having preferred contractor status. We have not employed any
contractors as yet.
• And last but not least of all the very good chance of winning one
of our
fabulous prizes.
This High speed sailing ship is unique in the following respects.
• It is a very light construction and has a 3-phase diesel motor for
electrical and freezing purposes; this engine is used for powering the
ship at a fraction of the cost when it is necessary.
• It has a hold that is accessible via a lift up ramp at the back
of the
ship that will hold 4-8 smaller spec build boats, uni-mogs and a spec
built container medical operating theatre.
• It has a capacity of 30 berths and can be modified to hold more
people
for the purposes of evacuation.
• The ship has a 40 tones (freezable) cargo hold.
• Due to the fact that it is a sailing ship the fuel costs are 10%
of what
the same sized diesel ship requires.
• The ship is extremely fast sailing vessel because of its futuristic
engineered design and shape.
• The ship is spec fitted with all the latest technology for ease
of use
and also has computerized assist sailing via GPS.
There is a very great need for this type of rescue vessel because of the
following
• The high and ever increasing cost of fuel.
• The continued and increasing danger of supplying aid over land
because
of roaming gangs and travel bribes that have to be paid to these gangs.
• The bad state of roads whereas the majority of refugee camps can be
reached via river and river estuaries, (the rescue hover boats can also
travel on land).
This type of ship will also revolutionize the fishing and tourism industry
for various reasons such as fuel saving and no docking facilities
necessary.

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Sir Richard.
I am not going to ask you for anything more than i deserve.
I will start at the beging.
I have been with NTL for 4 years and then you took over the company so it is now Virgin Media i had no reason to go to another company as i was well happey with my services. The problem i have is that for the last 2-3 weeks i have phoned regarding my internet speed,i pay for up to 20 mg and only get 1 an a half mg and know one seems to know why,i have had 2 engineires at my house the second guy did not have a clue and left,i have spoked god know how many times to tec supportand no one rings bk like today i have waited all day for them to call me back and nothing.
So i thought ok no one has a clue so lets write to the boss himself and see if he can sort it.It is very frustrating when you pay for something you do not get.So please if you read this can your sort my internet speed out for me please

This type of ship will also revolutionize the fishing and tourism industry for various reasons such as fuel saving and no docking facilities necessary.

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Mr. Branson,

I am a 37 year old United States Marine and my 13 years of service in the USMC are coming to an unexpected end. I am very concerned that I will not find another career that will mean as much to me as being a Marine has, but I am hoping that proves to be untrue. My only motivation now is to find myself a career which challenges me, excites me and drives me to discover even more of myself than ever before. I hope to find a career which removes the stress of financial burdens, so for once in my life I can truly enjoy what "living life" truly means. I have tremendous potential and loyalty like you've never seen. I possess a desire to succeed like never before and I am extremely motivated to meet, and accept any challenging opportunity that comes my way. I respectfully ask you sir for the opportunity to work for you in any capacity you see fit. The end result, having an esteemed position some where in your many successful companies. I will not let you down sir and all I am asking for is the chance to prove it.
Very Respectfully,

Scott Allen

RE: Richard Branson

Hi - how about some chairty at home. I am trying to raise a mere £370 per student, for 8 students to attend a youth leadership award program - here in the UK. I have called the Virgin office in London - no money for youth - I have called Virgin Atlantic - no money for youths. Why not? This is right in your back yard - a little community spirit would go a long way...

RE: Richard Branson

Dear sir richard
I am Capt Elizabeth Lumapas Cavalry Reserve Philippine Army a former trainor of Probatiomary Officer Training Course Cl 11 of the Phil. Army. I had watch your program in TV entitled Rebel Billionaire and i enjoyed watching it and i appreciate you of your brave and courageous heart since then i idolized you so much. I am one of the member of Senator Gringo Honasan group called The Philippine Guardians Brotherhood inc and my position is the Supreme God Mother. Iwas challenge to send you a message to greet you that i admire you so much not only an amiable handsome gentleman but a brave and courageous person you are one in a million Sir. I keep on praying to god that he may always guide you whatever you do I do believe Jesus Christ cares and love you and you owe your life from him everthing you posses sir the fame glory riches you must have to thank god always.

Senator Gringo Honasan was also called a Rebel because he believes what he is fighting for is for the good of his country and for his countrymen thats why i join his group as the Supreme God Mother one of the highest position in the group. Like you Sir you like the word rebel it was a question in my mind why you choose to be called the Rebel BILLIONAIRE as what i learn the word rebel means the enemy of rhe state. what Sen Honasan did in so many coup attemps i still believe it contributed a lot in what had to be change within the govt Sen Honasan was misinterpreted as the most dangerous enemy of the state because he had only shown his bravery in fighting to the oppressors to save the poor and oppressed one Sen Honasan is a Kind hearted person like you Sir thats why so many people voted him during election thats why he again won as our Senator

Sir thats why i became as one of your avid fan and now your my idol and my hero And I had love you of having a brave heart like me .I send you my picture wearind a military uniform hope youll like it Sir
I pray for more blessigs to come unto you god be with you always sir.

Good bye Sir . Very Respectfully yours

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Sir Branson

I am an engineer by profession. About 4 years ago while still studying at the University of Johannesburg, I had an idea of making African school schools self sustainable.

Unfotunately I couldn't get assistant to kickstart the project then. I have kept the documents intact. When I had a specific request from one school in Kwazulu Natal to look for school developers for them I was ver touched and so far I had one positive response for media development from top South African company.

The school in question lacks infrastructure and teachers.
I do pray that you do get this comments as I do believe that school's self sustainability will improve lives of all South Africans.

Kind Regards
Arnold

RE: Richard Branson

Dear Richard,

I have a company called Mobile Wheels & Sound opperating in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are a small company dealing directly within the insurance companies and private work. The company has been operating for +- 3 years and unfortunatley someone cooked the books and stole the money we had in the company. Would this be something you would consider looking into. We have tried many years to make it in this world today and always seems there are opsticles in the way. My last business we had was great although my partner ran away and we lost our house. This current company has potential and a vast groth potential. I would kindly appreciate it if you would consider looking at the financials and then consider the way forward if any.

Kind Regards,

Gavin

RE: Richard Branson

Richard: After reading the other letters that were posted I began to wonder if a person like yourself has time to deal with all these requests. I have been working on a project for several years now trying to put together an events planning project, I was recently running my own landscaping business and ended up injurying myself, and can no longer do or keep up with type of labor, hence a career change. This project will include design services, and a small retail business as well as offering a free service to the grade schools for field trips to learn about plant life, art and design, there will be a green house and gardens for the students to observe in. I would like to purchase an adjacent acre for parking, and build a new barn to hold the events and classes in, also operating capital. I'm looking at 200k to 300k to finish the project. however I would love to get any donation I could at this time, my funds are running out rather quickly and I need to start making this new venture start making an income. My city of Billings MT is in dier need of places like this and it will also help improve the neighborhood greatly. please help if you can, Thankyou, Jerry Lyon #406-860-3291

RE: Richard Branson

Hello Mr. Branson,
My name is Matthew Nissen and Mohamed Mahmoud we are local producers in the New Jersey area. We personally have worked with groups from Philidephia exclusively to New Jersey. WE LOVE MUSIC and we can produce any kind of genre but the thing is that we haven't got the connections that it takes to make it without the kind of connections that help succeed in the music buisness. I recently watched a "documentary" on Richard Branson and I despartely need to know HOW DID YOU DO IT? I know it seems like a joke and this whole comment is a little awkward but the thing is that i've beeen working for awhile in the music buisness and it's not working out the way I have hoped. I have went to college for and every type of houdschool that one can think of for this kind of mangement buisness or producing exclusive but whatever I do I always hit a dead end. You are a genius in our eyes and I would do anything to know, just a little, what the secret is to your success. I know it seems alittle self centered and I know you have many things to do and take care of but this my last straw of hope and any inclination of help would be a Godsend! I'm sorry for putting this on your blog or anybody else's blog but I am desperate and I need help just starting my "buisness" off
Yours Truly,
Matt Nissen & Mohamed Mahmoud
