But can they really be, um, you know... Sexy? The article talks about the future telephony with drag and drop GUI interfaces for conference calling and the like. I believe that telecom systems will become utilized more than ever as GUI interfaces proliferate. Most people without a GUI cant conference two people together and this is such a basic telephone feature that many of us need. There are so many other features that will be accessible to us as VoIP based systems allow us to use the the features we cant access today and even better, the ones that are yet to be invented.
