Carly Fiorina Keynote

I just spoke with Carly Fiorina and am blown away at how down to Earth she is. She is not only one of the most pleasant people I have spoken to but she is beyond knowledgeable about VoIP, telecom and technology.

Ms. Fiorina will be a keynote speaker next month at Internet Telephony Conference & Expo and I can't wait to hear what she has to say.

Expect to hear how physical processes are becoming digital, mobile virtual and personal. Carly went on to say that the areas where we are having difficulty such as national preparedness/security and healthcare are places where we haven't done this.

In her words, telecom/datacom and service provider/enterprise are not separate realms. Instead of having to organize and respond along vertical chains of command we need horizontal collaboration across boundaries and companies.

Here are some other notable comments:

Telecom is ultimate tool for unlocking human potential

Technology is all about people.

In order for VoIP to be applied to processes it requires collaboration among different groups.

The question is how do we make money and grow the industry?

Carly is quite in tune with the regulatory environment and will comment on what is needed to ensure we have a competitive broadband landscape. Expect to learn a great deal. I am blown away at how much I learned on this brief call. The session will end with a Q&A session. Carly really wants this to be an interactive dialogue. I for one can't wait as we are just under a month away from ITEXPO.
