Dinosaurs and VoIP

I am a self-proclaimed dinosaur nut and when I saw an article from Greg Galitzine equating dinosaurs with VoIP I just had to read it. There are serious parallels between evolutionary pressures and VoIP and you can equate frequent droughts on the earth with droughts in the financial markets. If a species (company or set of companies) can make it through a drought they will be much stronger at the end of the drought and flourish.

The reason is that competition is diminished and their population is strong while newer species competing for the same resources (customers) are weak.
