In the Beginning There Was VoIP

February 21, 2007
In the beginning their was VoIP and it was good. Over time VoIP became a market. And this market too was good. Then one day those who supplied the VoIP companies with money decided that VoIP was bad. So too the VoIP market became bad.

And then one day a man named Jeffrey Citron came to VoIP and he told the money people that VoIP was good. The money people agreed that Citron was good and decided to finance his VoIP vision called Vonage. Citron spent his money on marketing vision and Vonage was good.

Soon thereafter Citron spent more and more money on Vonage and the money people said it was bad. Citron took the shares of Vonage public and it too was bad. The public money people said Citron needed to give more money back to the money people.

Over time Citron decided he needed a way to generate money from customers more quickly. And behold the annual Vonage calling plan was announced and it was good. It saved customers money and generated cash flow for Vonage. And it was good, very good.
