Thoughts on Virgin America

I like flying Virgin America as the company has cool and hip branding, plays music in some of its terminals like SFO and the in-flight entertainment system is awesome. One of the best things about the airline is you can order food whenever you like - and the meals I've tried aren't bad. Even first class on most airlines isn't this flexible when it comes to ordering food.

Another great feature they offer is being able to peruse through multiple albums and put together a custom playlist of music.

The Bearish Case on Apple

With Apple's stock down more than 20% it isn't difficult to find lots of analysts willing to make the case the shares have further to drop. Regardless of whether you are an Apple bull or bear it is worth pointing out the company's challenges. Wim Lewi has some in-depth analysis of Apple's past and forward-looking sales and the piece is worth a read for investors.

Perhaps the most compelling argument he makes is the replacement sales of devices will lengthen from 2 to 2.8 years.

Vsnap, the Video SMS Alternative Aims to Add Emotion & Video to Short Messages

Vsnap pitched their short video messaging service, which is aimed as a more personal alternative than SMS, which carries no emotion.

Limited to 60s they offer mobile apps for Android and Apple and it works on PCs, smartphones and tablets. You can send Vsnaps to email addresses as well as directly to your Twitter feed. My front-runner to win my vote in about 10 minutes.
