Om Malik points out that Oracle may have a killer open-source strategy. Open source is gaining momentum but until properly monetized how can a multi-billion dollar company make money from what most consider to be free software? Of course supporting open source software and selling bulletproof enterprise versions of software you can make a buck or two. I just wonder if you can make enough money to continue your lavish lifestyle built on expensive and closed solutions.
