Spit Guard

I am sorry. This is probably a stupid title but it hit me as soon as I read about the Verizon announcement that they will be protecting enterprise VoIP systems. SPIT by the way is short for spam over Internet telephony and is a problem that hasn’t really happened in any meaningful way. At least not to my knowledge. Not yet anyway.

When it does happen, expect 50 voicemails on your IP phone for cheap Viagra prescriptions.

"Security is the [number one] concern customers express about VoIP," said Verizon Business' vice president of product management Nancy Gofus in a statement."
