Vonage is Still Innovating
October 24, 2006
Hats off to Vonage for innovating. First it was free weather reports for its subscribers and now free traffic reports. This is how you make a sticky service. I give Vonage lots of credit for not focusing on price alone but instead the company is differentiating itself nicely. Once subscribers are hooked on these services they will be less likely to switch. That is the key as I see it. Get subscribers hooked as rapidly as possible on as many sticky services as you can and you will avoid becoming commoditized.
