Rest assured I am back and ready to tell you all about my trip... But first, the top 2 things I am seeing in the enterprise VoIP market are mobility applications as well as ad hoc conferencing and collaboration. many vendors were pitching these ideas -- from Microsoft to Inter-Tel.
Mitel had a couple of category killer products or better yet category starter products I will share with you soon.
There is a lot to share and this is the least I have been blogging since I made a New Year's resolution to blog more fathfully. Avaya dominated the show. Virtually all other exhibitors were lost in this company's shadow and many of them acknowledged this fact.
Convergd WiFi Telephony/Cellular phones are the next thing it seems but on the one hand I heard that Vodafone was doing their best to block this technology from happening while SonyEricsson told me just the opposite was true... At least in the GSM world.
The one area where everyone agrees is that Verizon Wireless will be the last company to embrace dual mode WiFi telephony/cellular devices.
So now I have pages of notes and on my 7:00 AM flight tomorrow I will either sleep or put them in a format suitable for posting when I land. Have a good night.
