As a follow up to my post regarding Yahoo! Being for the poor, it is worth considering that Yahoo's legion of e-mail users take advantage of the service because it is free.

Moreover, just imagine how many page views this service generates.

Generally, people who use a service for free are probably of lower income. At least this is what I would surmise.

Then again the finance boards and fantasy sports areas are likely a more affluent demographic but perhaps not enough too offset Yahoo! Mail.
