But enjoy your new phone!

NYC is no better! I just called both ATT & Apple about the SUPER SLOW connection speeds; I was told that there are not enough 3G towers in the area just yet to accommodate the current users in NYC. Both reps said that basically what this means that is that the new Iphone will work only as fast as the old model until they finish the upgrades in their tower network. At this point they are almost half way done. It has only 4 days since service has been sold what are we to expect in the next..say 2 weeks as more people purchase the new Iphone ???
Another problem I noticed with service was that reception is extremely poor. On a 90 minute trip outside of NYC on a major roadway up towards Albany, ATT's reception was CONSTANTLY being dropped while Sprint & T-Mobiles phones had full reception and were able to make and receive calls.

NICE WORK ATT! Selling a service that you are not yet full functional... nothing like misleading customers!

My advice.. don't rush out for a 3G upgrade just yet.. why pay an extra $10 for 3G service if it doesn't work yet?

AT&T non-3G voice communication is nearly impossible in areas marked as 3G enabled! Knowing what I know now I would never purchase an iPhone and do 2 year contract contract with AT&T. AT&T service in suburban Detroit MI (east side) and south Dayton OH is
terrible. I'd say a Nokia n900 on Verizon would be my preference at this point.
AT&T: you suck!!!
