Cnet is reporting a bigger upstream cap for Comcast, which is great news for VoIP broadband users that are also bandwidth hogs ala Emule, Kazaa, etc.

A recent technical assistance call to Comcast revealed that Chicago will gain the following speed increases by March 31, 2005:
Current Speed => Upgraded Speed
3000/256 kbits/s => 4000/384 kbits/s
4000/384 kbits/s => 6000/768 kbits/s
Peer-to-peer apps and FTP content uploads for website development will finally get that much needed performance boost!
