Want to see water drops captured at 1080p with 2,564fps speed played back in slow motion? How bout shattering glass and lightbulbs in slow-mo? Or watching the wave impact travel up a Blackberry as it hits? Tom Guilmette took a Vision Research Phantom Flex camera recently and put together a video of mind blowing slow-motion footage. Tom said, "I was working a gig in Vegas with a brand new Phantom Flex high speed digital cinema camera. I had to try it out. In fact, I never did go to bed that night. I opened up a wormhole shooting at 2,564 frames per second." Now you might be thinking, who goes to Vegas and doesn't go out and hit the town, the casinos, clubs, etc? You might think Tom a geek to stay in his Vegas hotel room playing with his high-speed HD video camera, but you would be oh so wrong!
The Phantom is actually capable of 1080p recording at 2,800 frames, however this footage was captured at a lower 2,564fps speed. This is a mind-blowing video that must be watched in HD and full-screen. You won't be disappointed.
