Have really liked MobileEdge's backpacks for quite some time now; they are really built well and can stand up to some tough abuse -- how about a ton of school books, for example!

Now, they have introduced a new backpack with an ah-ha! idea -- if security is an issue (and with a backpack of course it is!).

The idea (please) you say?

How about having the zipper on the inside of the pack, rather than the outside!

The new SecurePack eliminates exposed zippers and exterior pockets to prevents access to the interior of the pack while it is being worn. This unique design ensures that would-be thieves cannot steal anything from the pack, even when maneuvering when you're moving through crowded streets, subways, airports, or other vulnerable situations.

The only way to gain access to the backpack is to remove it pack from your back, with access via a hidden zippered section that is positioned next to the wearer’s back.

(It might be inconvenient if you need something quickly, but as a "quick theft" deterrent, it's hard (very hard) to beat.

In addition to security, the ergonomic design evenly distributes weight across your shoulders for maximum comfort with padded protection and huge capacity for all popular notebooks (up to 17” screens) as well as accessories, files, a special iPod/MP3 media pocket with a headphone pass-through port as well as additional space for power cables and other personal items.

While designed as a notebook carrying case, the SecurePack is perfect for all commuters and vacationers backpacking through the U.S. or overseas.

It comes in two color patterns: black with yellow trim; and a camouflage print.

MSRP: $79.99
