Gadget Makers Go Green

Nice big article in yesterday's New York Times about how electronics makers like HP and Dell (among many others) are suddenly waking up and going "green."

Seems this drive for "more environmentally conscious" behavior is really motivated by another type of green -- as in money. As these companies recycle products at their huge recycling plants, they are pulling out precious metals in greater quantities than are currently being pulled out of the ground by mining companies. (We're talking gold and silver here as well as others.)

To me, it's a win-win situation -- guess it is pretty easy to be green after all.
