It's official, Microsoft and Palm are friends
It's official - after years of heated Palm vs. Microoft (PDA and mobile phone) battles, Microsoft and Palm are now friends. Here's the official news on the new Treo 700, which will use the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system and which will be carried by Verizon Wireless. Also below is a screenshot of the Web splash screen you are presented with when you go to http://www.palm.com/ and then click the Palm United States link. Notice the Palm and Microsoft logos? Never thought I'd see the day when Palm.com willingly carried the Microsoft logo.
