The MP3 DJ Doorbell sports a doorbell unit, backed with double sided tape for mounting in your doorway and a wireless speaker unit for mounting inside in your living area, kitchen, hallway etc with screws in the pack. Of course, you don't have to mount it, which gives you portability to bring the unit out to the backyard and never miss uninvited door salesmen invited guests. The wireless range is 330ft/100m. The units are battery powered - the doorbell using a 23A battery (included) and the speaker unit running off 3 x AA batteries (not included).
You can store your favorite songs by adding an SD card from 2GB (holds approximately 600 songs) or expand up to a 32GB card (stores up to 10,000 songs). It doesn't seem to come with an SD card, though SD cards are pretty cheap these days. You can also play the traditional ding-dong doorbell when nostalgia strikes. It comes with 32-built in tones.
The speaker unit can connect to a computer using the included USB cable. The speaker unit can also be used as a portable MP3 player via the built-in speaker. Swann’s MP3 DJ Doorbell has a MSRP price of $49.99.
