What's the Best Gadget To Take on Vacation?

With many of us getting ready to travel next week, I always wonder what the best gadget there is for travel and vacation time.

Would immediately dismiss the Blackberry -- too easy to get calls/messages/email from the office.

Would also have to put a "caution" on smart phones and mobile phones, too -- for the reason, see Blackberry above.

I guess it's got to be an MP3 player -- good on the plane, good in the car (not for the driver, though), good just about anyplace.

Anybody out there got any good gadget travel or vacation tales they'd like to share?

Without a doubt the Sony PSP. Games, video & mp3 player and a wi-fi enabled web browser. And possibly a voip add-on coming soon.

How about noise-cancelling headphones? Good for plane, car, hotel room ...

Ipod is great, MP3 plyr is great, for laptop lovers-a bit heavy eq but ok- BUT most important Giz is the POWER STRIP 8 outlet with 8ft cord - takes care of recharging everything. Trust me.
