I just noticed Google integrated Google Maps within their web search results. I did a search on "disney time share" and the second search result has a '+' sign next to it with the words "Map of 2918 Paine LN, Orlando, FL 32826". When you click it, it displays a map of the address and then gives you the option to get directions or view a larger map. Sweet!

I noticed this a while back and have been searching around for how to add this to search results for my client sites. Any idea what kind of meta information, content, etc. that generates search results with the map included?

Really? I noticed phone numbers displayed on web search results, but not Google Maps. Today was the first time.

That's a darned good question. If I find some time, I'll look at the sites that do get picked up by Google Maps. It's possible Google simply looks for address info on the domain's entire site and uses that. But then it's possible they'd pick up another company mentioned on the site. Maybe if only 1 address shows up? Or maybe they look on a page called Contact or Contact Us? These are just guesses.
I'm pleased to see that such quality things are made in the IT bussiness, makes me to forget microsoft's hungry for money with their low quality services.
In response the January 16, 2007 posting about Google integrating Google Maps into search result listings. Would I have to submit my website to Google Maps in order for it to appear in Google Maps search results? I'd appreciate any input or advise on this.
Thank you!
