<p><font size="2">According to recent reports,&nbsp;the company&nbsp;said the <strong>convergence</strong> of the&nbsp;Internet and other digital video with traditional devices was the key for its four strategic growth areas: video gaming, digital imaging, HD&nbsp;and mobile products</font></p>
<p><font size="2">Sony plans to&nbsp;equip its TVs with an attachable module that can <strong>stream broadband HD</strong>&nbsp;and other Internet video content simply by&nbsp;pushing a button on the&nbsp;remote control.</font></p>
<p><font size="2">Sony also recently introduced an icon-based user interface, called <strong>Xross Media Bar</strong>, that is similar to a system already found on its <strong>PlayStation 3</strong> and <strong>PlayStation Portable</strong> (aka <strong>PSP</strong>)&nbsp;gaming devices.</font></p>
<p><font size="2">The Xross Media Bar&nbsp;won the<strong> Emmy Award</strong> for &quot;Outstanding Innovation and Achievement in Advanced Media Technology for the Best Use of Personal Media Display and Presentation Technology&quot; last month.</font></p>

your article says that Sony will enable HD tv in the form of IPTV. Then you said that IPTV is playing video from the internet. Are you not confusing internet TV with IPTV? There is no doubt you meant to say IPTV but what you are describing is internet TV.<br />
IPTV is simply tv service delivered through IP. It's not video from the internet. <br />
