Today, Citibank launched Citi Text Banking, which gives you quick updates on your Citibank and Citi credit card accounts. All you have to do is send a short command to 692484 (MYCITI) and get account information on demand. Pretty cool feature. Now you don't have to logon via a mobile phone or PC browser to get a quick balance. Though Citi also has the iPhone Citibank app and that's pretty fast - though it requires a 5 digit PIN to logon.I just tried out the texting feature and it works great. For security purposes you have to send an activation code to your mobile phone to activate the service.

BAL : Check your Citi account balances
HIST : Review recent activity
STMT : See credit card payment details
HELP : Get support--online or by phone
