Handling multiple VoIP calls in your browser. Doesn't get better than this!

The Gmail blog explains:

Today we're excited to relax that restriction and allow you to make or receive multiple calls in Gmail. If you’re in a call and make a second one, your first call will be put on hold while you talk on your new call. You can switch between calls by pressing the “Resume” button on the call you want to talk on, which will automatically put the previous call on hold.

So now you can check your Gmail emails, pretend to listen to your significant other, while simultaneously talking to your bookie. Just make sure you switch to the right call at the appropriate times.

Significant other: Are you typing or checking email? I hear mouse clicks

You: Who me? No, babe, I'm listening.

You: [switch to other line to talk to bookie]

Significant other: Hello? Are you there? Hello??? Hey, what happened to the background noise?

You: [switch back over to check on significant other]

Significant other: Did you just mute me?

You: Uh. Yeah. I thought I was going to burp and didn't want to be rude.

Bookie: Can't believe this guy just put me on hold. Hello? Dude, are you going to place a bet or what? Forget this! {click}
