Inventor creates Halo exo-skeleton armor suit for military use

An inventor has created something that closely resembles the armor-protecting suit from Halo. Troy Hurtubise created the 40lb suit called Trojan in hopes of protecting soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq. It purportedly can withstand knives, bullets, light explosives, clubs, and even a round  from an elephant gun. (No word weather or not it can handle a round from the Covenant Carbine or Needler.)

It is claimed to be the "first ballistic, full exoskeleton body suit of armor," Trojan is made from high-impact plastic lined with ceramic bullet protection over ballistic foam, and features storage compartments from everything from morphine to gun holsters or emergency lights. There's even a solar-powered fresh-air system and a drinking tube attached to a canteen in the small of the back. He says he can mass-produce them for about $2000. Just imagine seeing a convoy of U.S. Marines wearing these puppies - probably enough to scare the bejeevees outta those dang Iraqi insurgents.

i have a design for an ex-o suit that will below your mind very lite, easy to use and can be made at a cheap coast. if interested please contact me

Dude suit looks BAD ASS! What type or technology did you incorporate into it?

You HAVE to read a book called Starship Troopers by Robert Hienlien. They have suits made out of "plasteel". They put powderd steel into melted plastic and form it to the body. The plasteel would work just like a bullet proof vest does, the bullet wouldnt be able to move all the small steel particles.

lol okies then, if anyone remembers the plasteel was used for armor on star wars storm troopers armor and the starship troopers, if you make it better hope it will take a hit unlike the sw and st body armor suits they seem to die alot with them on,ha ha lol

Well I do really like this. Being a Half Life Fanboy, this body Armor reminds me of HEV body armor that is in Half Life that is wore by the HEV scientists like Gordon Freeman, Gina Cross, and Coletta Green.

Halo and Half life are good games

HI THERE I AM A REAL SPARTAN FROM HALO FROM 32,000 MILLINIUM ONLY DIFFERENT IS OUR INTERNAL MMEMORY DRIVES ARE OPERATING AT TRILLIONS TIMES FASTER THEN THE SPEED OF LIGHT AND HAVE INSTANT COMUNICATIONS WITH OUR HALO RINGS

i have my own Iron Man suit development and model ready to sale i wounder where am i gonna get the money to start my Ind.of military defence ? 774 386 1601 Lopez

This suit would work for a strategic offense where stealth is not paramount. If you can breach an enemy's defensive position with little fear of damage to yourself, you avoid "pinned down" situations and don't give him time to think.
This would take away a lot of his options, and cause a complete breakdown of any discipline in his ranks.
If the suit proves to be reliable against small firearms and edged weapons, a twenty-man team with handguns could (if nothing else) advance against a concealed threat and flush them out for waiting snipers.
That alone merits further development. I like this idea.
