In a TV commercial, Will Arnett says the Nokia Lumia 920 is the ultimate digital assistant, but as an "international / regional superstar" (his words in video #2) he needs handlers to handle it for him. He likes Todd, his current handler, but Todd is quitting so Will is looking for a new Todd. Will is holding a contest on workforwill.com where you can view two additional funny videos in addition to the funny TV commercial, which you can view here:
To enter the contest, you customize your Windows Phone 8 live tiles as well as pick a skin color for the Nokia 920, as seen by this browser screenshot:
Then you are asked to connect to Facebook to pull some information about you, which is then used in a personalized video from Will Arnett. As your personalized video is being created you are entertained by Will with his typical sardonic humor. When you view the video you can see your customized live tiles and chosen skin color overlaid into the video as well as Will commenting on your color of choice. A pretty cool special effects trick that also features your name overlaid on top of a business card in Will's hand. For whatever reason, my personal Facebook photos which appear in the screenshot above don't appear in the video, but instead photos of Will appear. Probably too difficult to program. In any event, Will explains that to win the contest you have to get your friends to vote for you.
The Nokia Lumia 920 sells for just $99 with a contract, so this Nokia flagship phone is priced to move. It's actually sold out in many online retailers, including Amazon.com. The Nokia Lumia 920 features a 4.5" touchscreen, optical image stabilization (OIS) 8MP PureView camera Carl Zeiss optics, 2000mAh battery, wireless charging, Microsoft SkyDrive, dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, Nokia Maps, GPS, 4G LTE data, and 32GB of storage. It also sports a BSI sensor and has excellent low-light photo and video capabilities. The optical image stabilization, which virtually eliminates hand shake to make for nice steady videos is why the Nokia 920 will replace my iPhone very soon.Entry Period:
