Russell Shaw over at ZDNet has some insights into Packet8's recent quarterly report where it appears Packet8 is bleeding money. Russell suggests that Packet8 "pack it up pack it in" and sell to Sprint or Quest.
May I suggest that all their marketing dollars spent on product placement in shows like 24 and Alias be pulled back? Of course, there is the argument that the worse thing you can do when losing money is to cut your marketing budget. Marketing helps bring in business after all.

Can someone answer me this:
After all the failures, all the lousy 10-Q reports, CUSA "mistakingly" dropping Packet8 from the shelves..... why does the CEO of this company still have a job?
Russell Shaw apparently never read the 10Q for any startup company (or probably any other). To avoid shareholder suits, they're ALWAYS doom-and-gloom, we'll go out of business if we don't get more money, etc.
