Well, I'm back from Cape Cod where I spent the Fourth of July holiday. I did periodically check email via EVDO, but only at our house rental and not the beach. I thought about blogging on the beach and considered snapping a few photos of the ocean and beach to post to the blog, but I decided it was better to just take a mental break from blogging. Hence, you may have noticed an entire week went by without a single blog entry - a record that I believe goes back to when I started blogging in 2004!
In any event, I'm back now. Still have tons of emails to wade through and have to catch up on some other projects, but you should see some serious bloggage in the next few days!

Tom I'm going up to Cape Cod for a week at the end of July, striper fishing and hanging with the wife. Have never visited before, can you recommend any good places for dinner?
There's too many great places to eat. Also depends where you are staying - the Cape is huge.
We stayed in Chatham, so here's my suggestions for that area (it's on the 'elbow' of the Cape:
For breakfast, no better place than Bonatts. They have meltaway pastries that come free with breakfast. You can also buy them next door at their bakery.
They have excellent pancakes & french toast with specials that often include fresh fruit on them. Their fruit is always fresh. Their juices are freshly squeezed as well.
Get their early, since it is the most popular breakfast place, so the wait time builds quickly.
For dinner, if looking for a nice seafood place and great atmosphere with an outdoor patio, try Brax. they also have inside dining and a bar. A bit pricey, but food is good.
If looking for a cheap lobster, the Lobster Shanty is good, but that's closer to Provincetown.
Hope this helps!
Nice, we are staying in Brewster and I am flyfishing for stripers near Chatham I will definetely hit up the breakfast place, my favorite meal of the day. Thanks for the insight!
Where in Cape Cod did you end up staying? Isn't it just beautiful in the summer?
