I enjoy playing the game. Its challenging in looking for the high end rare drops. the best part I enjoy are the slayer assignments. What I dislike are the cowardly PKers that prey upon the dragon slayers. Rock on Jagex

Guys, whatever you do DON'T GET ADDICTED TO RUNESCAPE!!!!!!! It will ruin your life of social, grades, and TIME... if you want to quit runescape just read this unless you don't like reading:

Runescape is an addictive game. Quite a lot of people who have played it will agree with that - you just cannot stop playing. Addiction can quite often be a very bad thing. It can stop you from getting on with your life, studying, and other things. It can also give you eyestrain and RSI (repetitive strain injury). So, if you want to stop playing this or any other game, here is what to do:

1. Be sure of that you really wish to quit RuneScape, or you will regret it!
2. Simply log out and never log back on. This may sound obvious, but it works! You'll be amazed how difficult this is.
3. If you are really sure you don't want to go back on ever again get all your items from your bank and give them to people or host giant drop party. This way you and other people will be happy or you could die with everything you have to get rid of the stuff. Doing so will end up losing all your items and there will be no point of playing the game.

4. Block the Runescape website on your computer. Before you do this, make sure that nobody else who uses your computer wants to use the website. To block Runescape, open HOSTS file with notepad, located at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC, and add the line 127.0.0.1 www.runescape.com at the very bottom, then save file. Also beware that it is quite simple to delete the block, so this is not a foolproof method.
5. Find another hobby. This will really help - and it could also make you a lot healthier. Try something completely different. You may find that you soon have no time to play Runescape!
6. Whenever you have the urge to go back on the game, just remind yourself of the reasons you are quitting. Think of the bad things about Runescape and the good things about quitting. You will be socializing more, healthier and probably happier.
7. If none of the steps worked above and you still want to quit, change your password and recovery questions to random letters and numbers. Doing so will end up losing your account forever so be careful if you make this decision!

* Most of these steps will apply to other games as well.
* If you are having trouble with the concept of quiting Runescape, just play it less. Keep all your stuff, but only play it when you are extremely bored and have nothing else to do. But, by doing this, you could revert to your old ways. Control yourself, it's that simple.
* Try to think of a reason why you should quit. Try to think how pointless Runescape is. You might want to ask/ tell yourself: "is leveling up really fun?", "playing the game is pointless, it simply wastes my time."
* Really try to quit - if you don't try you won't succeed. Have some self control.
* For most people, nobody is helping you quit Runescape unless you are kept at certain conditions or other special reasons.
* Don't think of the things you are missing - follow step 5.

Warnings

* This could take some time, so make sure you are resolved.
* Remember that your in-game friends are real people too - make sure you explain why you're leaving so they won't be wondering where you have gone to.
* Don't try to get your account banned - that is not a good thing to do. It is not necessary and may gain you a bad reputation. It also ruins the game for other players.
* Before you are going to quit Runescape by getting rid of your items/ account, you should fully aware that there is no turning back.
* Don't sell your account it will ruin your good work on your account, all your hard work and time.

I strongly recommend you that you should follow these rules if you really want to play Runescape or if your just way to addictive and want to stop!
