3Com and CrystalVoice

Just a quick release to share regarding 3Com & CrystalVoice. By the way, is it me, or does 3Com seem quiet these days in the VoIP space? They have a great SMB IP-PBX, but I don't seem to hear much from them whether its new releases or asking me for a TMC Labs review within Internet Telephony. Now that I say that, I'll probably receive a phone call in the next 5 minutes...

Today 3Com and CrystalVoice announced that CrystalVoice has met the interoperability testing requirements of the 3Com® Voice Solution Providers Program (VSPP). CrystalVoice Remote Extension is the first product certified for both the 3Com NBX® and 3Com VCX(TM) 5.0 IP Telephony modules through the VSPP.

MARLBOROUGH, Mass., and SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Jan. 11, 2005 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) and CrystalVoice Communications, Inc., a provider of enterprise Internet Protocol (IP) communications software, today announced that CrystalVoice has met the interoperability testing requirements of the 3Com® Voice Solution Providers Program (VSPP). CrystalVoice Remote Extension is the first product certified for both the 3Com NBX® and 3Com VCX(TM) 5.0 IP Telephony modules through the VSPP.

The new certification confirms that CrystalVoice's Voice over Internet (VoI) software solutions are fully compatible with the 3Com NBX and VCX IP Telephony modules, providing enterprise customers with an advanced portfolio of real-time telephony, presence, messaging and conferencing solutions. CrystalVoice Remote Extension delivers an important component to a distributed or mobile work environment through combining CrystalVoice's advanced Acoustic QoS(TM) technology and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) support, which provides high-quality voice communications over the Internet, with its secure, scalable, high-availability architecture. CrystalVoice's solutions are designed to deliver productivity enhancing, cost-effective solutions for remote and mobile employees, interoffice communications, contact centers, collaboration, conferencing and interactive on-line learning.
