AT&T goes after Enterprise VoIP Trunking

AT&T and Cisco partner up to offer 2¢ per minute on all outbound calls within the U.S. to any company that has broadband service, such as DSL, T1, etc.

I just got this news via email now. Wow, looks like AT&T is going after the business that Level3 vacated a few months ago - namely the enterprise VoIP trunking business. Let's see if AT&T fares better than Level3 did. Covad Business VoIP is another company in this space. Anyway, below is the email I received

I thought it was intersting that there was no mention of QoS. I can only assume that is becuase it is not offered. One hosted VoIP company that backs QoS in a Service Level Agreement (SLA) is iTEL-ip. The have a national private network to deliver their hosted PBX and VoIP trunking products.

Does anyone else know of other copnaies that guarentee QoS besides iTEL-ip and MCI?

MCI is expensive and iTEL-ip is only in metropolitian cities.

Anyone else, please post. Thanks.

I've heard great things about itel-ip. You may need their dedicated circuit to ensure quality of service.
