Free Live Agent 411 Directory Assistance vs. Automated

We've all heard the wisecracks about the quality of Voice over IP, "Honey? What was that? You're breaking up. Very choppy. Damn VoIP!" and certainly we've all experienced issues when talking to a speech-recognition powered auto-attendant. Neither is 100% fool proof. Speech recognition accuracy is even worse when talking on your cell phone, or via speakerphone, but I wonder how well speech recognition would work on a noisy, busy city street while attempting to get automated (speech-rec) 411 directory assistance? That's a damn good question, that the folks at 1-800-411-SAVE seem to have answered with this somewhat funny promo video. The giveaway punchline is that a "live" human agent is better than an automated speech-rec 411 directory assistance service. Obviously a slap down of 800-GOOG411 (Google's 411 automated service), and other free speech-rec 411 directory services.

Unfortunately, the video in question is a sad, pale imitation of a successful video that we did over a year ago, one that got almost 250,000 views. Here's the original video:

Thanks,

Not a very good video but the service 800-411-SAVE service is great........The best part is that you don't have to argue with a machine! Free is great, getting Free service without hassle is even better!

YouTubeRobot.com today announces YouTube Robot 2.0, a tool that enables you to download video from YouTube.com onto your PC, convert it to various formats to watch it when you are on the road on mobile devices like mobile phone, iPod, iPhone, Pocket PC, PSP, or Zune.

YouTube Robot allows you to search for videos using keywords or browse video by category, author, channel, language, tags, etc. When you find something noteworthy, you can preview the video right in YouTube Robot and then download it onto the hard disk drive. The speed, at which you will be downloading, is very high: up to 5 times faster than other software when you download a single file and up to 4 times faster when you download multiple files at a time.

Manual download is not the only option with YouTube Robot. You may as well schedule the download and conversion tasks to be executed automatically, even when you are not around. Downloading is followed by conversion to the format of your choice and uploading videos to a mobile device (if needed). For example, you can plug in iPod, select the video, go to bed, and when you wake up next morning, your iPod will be ready to play new YouTube videos.

This video may be a direct hit to the competitors, but who cares about competition? does customers care about who wins and who looses? what we care about is the kind of services we get from the providers.. thats all that matters to us.. I personally choose 1-800-411-SAVE because for several times they provided me with what i need in a very polite manner regardless of the fact that i am getting the service for free.. for me its more than just enough.. i even made a blog for them because im really satisfied with the way they provided me what i requested.. try to check this out..
